Summary
Reporting to the Group CEO, the purpose of the role is to provide
leadership and direction in the provision and delivery of ICT services
throughout the company; to develop the service in alignment with local
and regional strategies whilst taking into account IT market
developments. He/She will oversee the ICT business change programs and
deliver various business support systems to a range of users across the
company.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the company strategic development process, develop
and implement an ICT strategy that ensures the company is prepared for
changes in the nature of its business processes. - To provide
strategic ICT advice to the management, and where required a detailed
business case for future investment proposals, in order to ensure that
current and future organizational strategic plans are supported by the
organization’s ICT strategy. - Oversee the development and
delivery of ICT products and services, in accordance with agreed
service and performance standards, industry best practice and in
alignment with company objectives and regional and national strategic
initiatives. - Work with a team of ICT professionals and other
key stakeholders, the job holder will ensure that international IT
standards in a multi-site system, are established and maintained. - Ensure
that IT infrastructure, design and selection, supports the
organization’s needs and develop/review procedures, policies and
workflows accordingly - Drive the ICT collaborative agenda on behalf of the company, in conjunction with other organizations.
- Control
and manage all revenue and capital expenditure and budgets, ensuring
expenditure within the ICT function is appropriately managed, based on
lean management principles, quality of service commitment and
performance management. - Lead on the procurement, supply and
negotiation of ICT goods and services for the company in conjunction
with legal and procurement professionals, as appropriate. - Oversee
all people management matters within the function. This includes the
development of teams and individuals so as to enhance performance and
potential. - Manage the relationship with all key stakeholders both internally
and externally and maintain appropriate communications forums with them.
Requirements
- Masters in Information Management and/or Business Administration or
equivalent with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science/Information
Management. - At least 10 years progressive experience in ICT Strategy Implementation preferably in the financial/insurance sectors.
- Ideally more than 5 years professional experience in an ICT environment including delivery of major projects
- The successful candidate should demonstrate excellent leadership and change management skills.
- Good corporate profile, excellent customer and business development skill
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
