Kenya Jobs: Project Officer- Hygiene Promotion – Karamoja Cluster, based in Lodwar
Working closely with the Water and Sanitation Officer the successful
candidate will be in charge of hygiene promotion within the target
community under the new project in Turkana. S/he will also work in
close collaboration with other partners within the WASH programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Directly responsible for hygiene promotion activities within the project
- Training of beneficiaries on hygiene and sanitation
- Participate in community mobilization
- Frontline delivery of project activities
- Development and adherence to activity plans
- Participate in timely and quality project reporting and periodic reviews
Qualifications, skills and competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health, Water/Sanitation or related development discipline
- Diploma in Water/Sanitation and/or Project Management
- Minimum three years working experience in rural setting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical skills (research and writing)
